There's a bugfix! When you got a new high score, the text wasn't supposed to stay there.

So yeah, that's fixed. You score should return to it's tray-table-up-seat-back-full-upright position until you rock yourself a new high score. Thanks to Wendy for reporting this! Happy playing, everyone!
